Product Overview:
Cross Belt Magnetic Separator is a self-cleaning magnetic separator designed for continuous removal of ferrous contaminants from bulk materials being transported on conveyor belts. It efficiently captures and discharges iron and tramp metal automatically without manual intervention, protecting downstream machinery and improving product purity.
Key Features:
• Self-cleaning Operation – Automatic ferrous metal discharge without stoppages.
• High-Strength Magnetic System – Deep magnetic field for effective removal of magnetic particles.
• Robust Industrial Design – Heavy-duty construction suitable for harsh environments.
• Low Maintenance & Easy Installation – Designed for minimal upkeep with simple fitting on existing conveyor systems.
• Customizable Options – Different belt widths, magnet types (permanent/NdFeB or electromagnet), suspension styles, and capacities available.
Technical Specifications (Typical):
• Type: Cross Belt / Overband Magnetic Separator
• Magnet Type: Permanent (Strontium Ferrite / NdFeB) or Electromagnetic
• Belt Width: 500–2000 mm (or as per requirement)
• Power Supply: 230–440 V, 3-phase (for motorized models)
• Capacity: Depends on model & material flow rate
• Structure Material: Mild Steel / Fabricated Steel with protective coating
Working Principle:
As conveyor material flows beneath the magnetic head, ferrous particles are attracted and held on the magnet belt. A driven conveyor belt carries these particles away from the main product flow and discharges them automatically into a collection hopper when outside the magnetic field.
Applications:
✔ Mining & Mineral Processing
✔ Cement & Construction Materials
✔ Recycling & Waste Processing
✔ Food & Plastic Industries
✔ Foundries & Heavy Engineering
✔ Chemical & Pharmaceutical Plants
Benefits:
✅ Keeps production lines free from iron contamination
✅ Helps prevent damage to crushers, grinders, and other equipment
✅ Enhances end-product quality
✅ Reduces labor costs due to automatic cleaning

Here are some typical specifications you’ll find — good to reference when comparing models:
Material / Magnet Grade: Often NdFeB (neodymium) for high strength. For example: grade N38.
Cup/Body Diameter (D): The diameter of the magnet’s cup or body. Example: 25 mm in a sample product.
Neck / Shank Diameter (d): Diameter of the threaded area or the neck of the hook. Example: d = 8 mm in one model.
Height / Total Height: Usually given as height of the magnet cup (H1) + total height including the hook (H3). Example: H1 = 7 mm, H2 = 14 mm without hook, H3 = 30 mm including hook.
Pull (Adhesion) Force: The vertical load the magnet can hold on a proper steel surface under ideal conditions. Example: ~18 kg for a Ø-25 mm model.
Slip Load (Shear Load): The horizontal load (sliding force) when the magnet is mounted on a vertical surface. Example: ~3.6 kg for that same model.
Thread / Hook Opening: For example, thread size M4 in one spec.
Surface Finish / Coating: E.g., Ni-Cu-Ni plating (nickel-copper-nickel) to resist corrosion.
Maximum Operating Temperature: Example: 80 °C in one product.
Tolerance / Manufacturing Precision: E.g., ±0.1 mm in one product.
